One of my close friends, a 58-year-old well-known personality in Jamnagar, came to us with a major dental challenge. Having chewed pan every day for more than 40 years, his teeth were completely worn down (attrition). Because of this:

He struggled to chew food properly.
His teeth had shortened so much that they were barely visible when he smiled.
The excessive wear made him look much older than his actual age.

His wish was clear — he wanted to regain his chewing ability and restore a youthful, confident smile.

Treatment Planning & Test Drive

Knowing his lifestyle and habits, we designed a treatment plan with both strength and aesthetics in mind. Strong zirconia crowns were chosen for the front teeth, while durable DMLS full-metal crowns were planned for the back teeth.

Steps we followed:

Full mouth OPG X-ray and diagnostic records
Facebow record for precise jaw relation
Wax-up models to preview the final result
“Test drive” with temporary crowns to evaluate chewing, speech, and smile

The test drive was successful, giving us and the patient a clear picture of the final outcome.

Final Smile Transformation

After 4 weeks of trial with temporary crowns, we proceeded with final restorations. Zirconia crowns restored the natural aesthetics of the front teeth, while strong DMLS full metal crowns provided chewing efficiency at the back.

The result? A natural, youthful, and functional smile! My friend and his family were thrilled with the outcome — not only could he chew comfortably again, but his smile looked years younger.
