A middle-aged patient visited our clinic with the complaint of food lodgement in the back teeth. On examination, we found two adjacent cavities on the edges of the teeth.
- The first cavity was small and could be easily restored with a direct composite filling.
- The second cavity, however, was more extensive. Since it involved a longer edge and lacked sufficient enamel support for bonding composite, we decided on a more advanced and reliable solution: an indirect E-Max (LiDiSi) table top onlay.

It is a highly conservative and technique-sensitive treatment that replaces only the missing portion of the tooth, while preserving the maximum amount of natural tooth structure.
